Pioneer Day

Third graders at Pierce Street have been studying about pioneers for the past few weeks.  To wrap up their unit they had a pioneer day.  Mr. Arinder came and shared with the kids about some of the tools, toys, and ways of life of the pioneers, the kids square danced, had lunch and did pioneer crafts.  I was able to attend and take pictures of such a fun day.  Here are a few of the highlights.

So I haven't updated my blog editting software.  I'm thinking this is the whole reason why my pics won't post.  So here goes a practice post and pic of the cutest blondie you will ever see.

6 months

Oh my how this month has flown by. Simon will be 7 months old on the 7th and I still haven't posted his 6month stats yet. Simon is a really fun baby. He loves his Mommy, Daddy, brothers, and especially his Ziggy! This month Simon has really learned alot. He said his first word-DaDa, his second word- BuBa and his third word-Ziggy! Yes I am the one that feeds him diapers him and loves on him 24-7 and he still isn't saying Mama! At Simon's 6month check up he weighed 17lb 5oz (50th percentile) and was 27 3/4 in long (90th percentile). Looks like he's shaping up to be a beanpole like his big brother Tyler. Simon is eating all kinds of food and hasn't found anything he doesn't like yet. His favorites are sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, and yogurt. He loves eating the little finger food puffs. It is so sweet to watch him feed himself. He is sitting up good but has no desire to crawl. He hasn't figured out how to get into sitting position yet and if he does get on his all 4's he gets excited and falls back on his belly. He is pulling up on things and rolling wherever he goes. He still doesn't sleep all night :(

Catching up

Ok bear with me folks...we have been busy little bees the past few months! Everyone including Ziggy is snug in their beds so I am taking this moment to catch up.

5 months

Here we go again! This is the third time I have tried to post this blog. I am really having a hard time getting my pictures to post on blogger. All the other blogs I read have pics so apparently it's just user error. Well, 3,4,and 5 months have just flown right on by. Simon is growing like a weed and is already wearing some 9 and 12 months clothes. In the past few months Simon has started rolling both ways, sitting up on his own, and can maneuver a pacifier like nobody's business! His stats for the 5^th month are as follows:

Weight 16lbs 12 oz

Height 25 ½ inches long

Eating rice cereal and all flavors of first foods fruits and veggies, not a food he doesn't like

No sign of food allergies at this time

No teeth, but he sure is working on some

Loves Ziggy more than he loves me

A really big fan of his Daddy

This blog has become a mainly Simon blog so not to forget the rest of the family, Eric and I are doing great. Simon has been a wonderful addition to our family and has brought us closer in our marriage (isn't the baby supposed to do the opposite lol?). We are spending all our time with our boys and we wouldn't want it any other way. Tyler is really excelling in school. We are so proud of him. I can't believe he is a Junior! Bryce is doing very well in school as well. He is so much like his Daddy more and more everyday. But that is perfectly ok because I really love his Daddy! I hope to get some more posts and pics up soon but until then enjoy the only one I could get loaded.
