Yes, We are still here!

Oh My Goodness! Where has the time gone? I sure have no idea! Simon is already 4 1/2 months old and he is growing by leaps and bounds. At his 4 month checkup he weighed 14 lbs, 8 oz and was 26 inches long. He is so fun when he's in a good mood but here lately he has been really fussy. I'm thinking he's gonna have a sweet little tooth pretty soon. We still aren't in a good sleeping routine. He may take 2 long naps and he may take several short naps and then he may not nap at all and the same goes for the night, He may sleep all night and then he may wake up every two hours so as you can tell I am one tired momma! He is rolling and scooting all over the place so I know it will be a matter of time before he starts crawling, Bryce was only 5 months old when he crawled! Bryce started 3rd grade this year. He is such a big boy now and he knows it. I walk him a block from the school every day and he always tells me "Mom you don't have to walk with me, I'll be fine." What? I just can't get over how independent he is. This school year is coming with some fears though. He is at a new school where no one knows much about his allergies much less allergies alone so I am glued to my phone all day just waiting for that call that he's having a reaction. Hopefully he won't have any unless he starts to develop more allergies. Tyler started 11th grade Monday. I cannot believe that just a few years ago I took him to his first day of 2nd grade. I am so very proud of the young man that he has become! I will leave you with a few of my favorite photos from the past few months and hopefully won't be such a stranger in the future! Wow this first month has flown by! It is still hard to believe that he is mine sometimes. Some things Simon likes to do these days...eat, sleep, and soil his undies! He recognizes his daddy's voice and follows it and he is also starting to focus more. He weighs 10lb 3oz and is 22in long. Of course he experienced many firsts in his first month...1st Easter, 1st family reunion, 1st trip to Alabama, 1st doctors appts and many more. Can't wait to see what God has in store for the rest of his sweet little life! Simon found his First Easter Egg! (and looks like he broke his neck doing it)

Simon had a really good first week...I on the other hand had some moments of feeling helpless. I was so emotional that I had a breakdown about not being able to even go to the grocery store! Bryce started running fever and missed 2 days of school and I couldn't take him to the doctor...thank goodness mom was able to take off work and take him. He had bronchitis and was ordered not to get around Simon. That was really hard because Simon's every need is met by me and then Bryce needed me too...especially the night he had an allergic reaction to the Zpac they gave him! But we survived and have a few pics to remember the week by...enjoy.

Welcome Simon!

April 7, 2011, at 1:19p.m. we welcomed little Simon to our family. He weighed 7lb 12oz and was 20 in long. He was born at North Mississippi Medical Center Women's Hospital in Tupelo, MS. Here are some photos of the delivery and our days in the hospital.
