Oh my gosh what a Friday!!!! Bryce stayed the night at my parents so I didn't have to get up as early as I normally do, and I'm glad I got the extra 20 mins of sleep this morning. We knew that we were gonna have two girls out today, but we had no idea what was in store for us today. Our server was down first thing and all of our computer programs rely on the Internet to function. I couldn't take xrays on my first new patient or download photos. Finally we got that fixed and I had caught up with my work so I went into the lab to make some retainers. A few minutes later Janet and Dr. Hodges came running into the lab grabbing all of the towels that they could find. We had a leak!!! We thought it was from the sprinkler system but come to find out they were pressure washing the floors upstairs and the water was running through the concrete floors and down all of the exterior walls in our office. So of course all day we were battling the flood! Things seemed to get better and then it all got crazy again. Brackets kept coming off Janet's patient, April's patient showed back up with broken brackets also, Dr. Hodges decided we needed to do impressions on an observation patient, and it looked like the schedule was getting fuller...it was only 11:00! Well the workday continued on in this crazy downward spiral until I finally left about 5:20 (my usual Friday leaving time). I finally got home and my mom and precious baby boy were waiting for me in the living room. The highlight of my day is seeing Bryce when I get off work but today I didn't show that excitement as I normally do. He had a folder full of smiley faces and showed me that he "stayed on purple" all week (that means he was very good). Guess what...it's that time again when they start to sell wrapping paper. You know I think it's all good that they use these fundraisers to help the school but it really pisses me of when your 5yr old comes home and tells you how much he needs to sell so he can do this and win that and so on. I would rather just write a check to PTO and donate than to spend money on some of the overpriced junk in that book. Tyler will be bringing the exact same book home in just a few weeks for his school too!! It's got to be even harder on parents with more that 2 kids. Well anyway enough complaining. So Eric called and said let's go out to eat. We haven't been out to eat in a while with the kids since money has been so tight. Eric got his first Walmart paycheck yesterday so we decided to have a family celebration. We went to Olive Garden...Bryce's idea. The wait was short considering it's furniture market this weekend, the service was excellent and the food was wonderful. Of course Tyler is still trying to figure out what is good and not. He ordered the Parmesan crusted tilapia. He didn't like it. I told him to stick to catfish and crappie from now on LOL. Anyway we switched plates and he finished off my portabello mushroom ravioli. Bryce and Eric went safe with lasagna and manicotti. It was so nice to sit around the table and talk about the week and laugh with each other. I totally love my family. My kids are wonderful and I don't think there is a better husband than mine (ok, he does have some flaws though). Tammy called me tonight and asked me to come help her tomorrow at the Bodock festival in Pontotoc. I have never been before, but we need the extra cash so tomorrow I will work my first food service job :). As for tonight Eric and Bryce are in the bed and Tyler's playing the PS2 and I think I'm ready to join Eric in slumber. Goodnight.
