Well, I've been MIA in the blog again. I apologize for the lack of posts the last few weeks. Eric's new job has him exhausted so time doesn't afford me to blog as much as I would like. Allot has happened over the past few weeks so get ready to read! My child is a genius!!! No not really I don't want to sound like a bragging parent, but this news has gotten me so happy that I have to write about it. Earlier in the school year they tested all of the Kindergarten students to see what level they were on intellectually. Bryce's former speech teacher told me about how his scores were. There are a certain amount of sections in this test and when a child misses 8 questions in a section then they stop the test. Mrs. Wallace told me it took several hours to administer Bryce's test. He just wouldn't miss any! :) So he scored above the 99th percentile, his IQ is in the 130's (which is amazingly high), and he is on the same intellectual level as a 9 year old!!!!! WOW! I was so amazed. Well recently due to his test scores, some of the teachers have decided to test him on different subjects to see where he stands. He is reading on a 4th grade reading level. My mom told me that they are wanting to move him to first grade!! I knew he should have started last year. They still have to present it to the principal and get her opinion on it. Eric and I have decided that if the principal feels that moving him to first grade is the best plan then that's what we will do. We can always hold him back later on if we need to. Today I am off work so I will be going to pick Bryce up. I'm going early cuz on Friday if you've had good behavior you get to dance with the principal. I'm gonna video it and post it this weekend. He has got some major soul in him. I don't know where he gets those moves LOL! Eric's job is not going too well. We thought it was gonna be so great for him and our family and now we are realizing that it wasn't the best choice for any of us. I'll have more to update later about his job though. Tyler is doing well in 8th grade this year. He's hoping to be able to try out for the basketball team. He intentionally missed tryouts in the spring and now he's wishing he hadn't. Maybe one day you'll see my big boy on TV making lots of money for me and Eric playing on the NBA! OK, I know...wishful thinking. Tyler is our athletic one. He's quick as lightning and can handle a basketball like you wouldn't believe. Bryce on the other hand is probably gonna play sports in the future but I think he's my musical and artsy fartsy child. He does start soccer next week. He looks sooooo cute in all his soccer gear! Of course I'll be posting some of those pics too! Well I guess it's time for me to start my day. I have so many errands to run and chores to do I might just have to finish it all tomorrow.
